Gary Vaynerchuk’s Weekly Wrap-Up (8/1/15)

As a business owner, having to constantly put your best foot forward can be challenging – but completely essential. One wrong move, wrong decision or ineffective CTA can lead to lost customers, lost funding and a number of other consequences. This week Gary Vee discusses several topics surrounding putting your best business foot forward. In his article “Landing Pages Aren’t Easy; Here’s How to Decide What’s on Yours,” Gary discusses what you need to include on your landing page for it to be effective. According to Gary, the landing page needs to be based on what you want to do – sell or inform.
However, he doesn’t stop there. In order to get to the point of needing a website to sell or inform, you have to first have a business. For many business owners this means convincing angel investors that you are worth their money! Gary Vee packs a double punch for this all important topic in his article “The Best Way to Raise Money from an Angel Investor or VC,” and accompanying video, “How Do I Raise Money From an Angel Investor or Venture Capitalist?” When it comes to raising money, knowing how to make a great impression and convince others that your business is “worth it” is hugely challenging, which is why these Gary Vee originals can be so beneficial.
Also, always remember, if you don’t ask a question to learn and expand your knowledge, you will never know the answer. Gary Vee discusses the idea of stupid questions and the fact that, yes, they do exist and he hears them all the time in his article “There is Absolutely Such a Thing as a Stupid Question.” However, he goes on to discuss how these questions can wind up helping you be a better business person – so the bottom line – ask your questions!
