Gary Vaynerchuk’s Weekly Wrap-Up (5/29/15)
It’s hard to believe that it’s Friday already! We hope you’ve all shortened this week’s “to-do” lists as it’s super important to keep on top of things!
For this installment of the best content from our friend GaryVee, we’re going to start with Gary’s article “3 Ways to Go Out of Business FAST“. Gary begins by saying that while there are many ways your company can fail, there are three main ways to ensure you’ll never even get off the ground. He says if any of these things are an issue now, you’d better take action and do it soon.
The first thing is the inability to execute. Execution is the name of the game so you simply have to make it happen says Gary. The second thing is if you think your idea is “original”. Gary says that no idea is original and if you’re spending all your time trying to protect, trademark and patent, you’re wasting time you should be spending executing that idea of yours.
The third thing is if you cannot sell as without money, you cannot move on. If you are bad at selling, you’d better improve or you’re going to fail because no matter how great your product is, if you can’t sell it you’re out of business. Short and to the point and spot on! In the video “Please Stop Automating Your Email Copy!” Gary begins by showing a screenshot of a recent email he received that begins with “Hello {First Name}. Gary asks if we can, for once and for all, get people to stop sending bulk emails and especially emails like this one that says “Hello {Name Here}. He says these emails get deleted so fast it’s stunning. He continues on to say that sending bulk blasting emails to people that didn’t sign up for anything is the WRONG move to make. Gary asks everyone watching the video to start replying to these emails by saying “F##K You!”.
