For any contribution to Successful Startup 101 Magazine (including, but not limited to, any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio), you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant Successful Startup 101 magazine:
- a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify (if needed), adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, play, sublicense and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide.
- the ability to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution.
In addition, you agree to waive any and all moral rights that exist in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication with Successful Startup 101 Magazine and the purposes specified above.
By submitting your contribution to Successful Startup 101 Magazine, you attest to the fact that your contribution:
- Is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available for distribution as a digital magazine for all the purposes specified above.
- Does not violate, plagiarize, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, personal, publicity, or proprietary rights.
- Does not infringe any law, nor is defamatory.
- Is not used for commercial purposes or self-promotion.
Breach of Warranties
If you do not adhere to the warranties listed here, please note that Successful Startup 101 Magazine may seek indemnification from you for recovery of all legal fees (including our own and those of any third party), damages and other expenses that may be incurred by Successful Startup 101 Magazine as a result of your breach of any of the above warranties.
Successful Startup 101 Magazine reserves the right to modify any article or part of an article according to editorial needs and without notification or permission from the author.
Successful Startup 101 Magazine reserves the right to change its editorial guidelines and these terms and conditions at anytime and at its sole discretion.

Editorial Guidelines
Please provide your article idea in a paragraph via our contact form PRIOR to submitting. You will receive an email response within 24-48 hours. Because our magazines are topical, we will assess your original synopsis and if we are interested in using your piece, we will contact you directly. If your article is particularly time-sensitive, please flag that fact within the contact form.
Before submitting an article idea, please ask yourself the following questions:
“Do I know what Successful Startup 101 Magazine is about and the types of articles within it? And does my piece build on that?”
The content needs to be upbeat and interesting. Please contact us for additional details and/or requirements.
At this stage, Successful Startup 101 Magazine is only available in English, which means all articles and other content formats must be supplied in the English language.
Every feature submitted to Successful Startup 101 Magazine must be between 800 and 2400 words in length. We do require an audio of your article (if applicable) supplied as an mp3 file; if you prefer Successful Startup 101 Magazine to do the audio of your article, please contact us directly. If your article requires video content please supply as an mp4 file.
Any photographs supplied to further enhance your article must be supplied as jpeg’s and be of high enough resolution for a digital magazine; preferably 150dpi at 100%. The photographs must meet the above terms and conditions (royalty free or originals).
